Not sure about the Japan thing, however Comcast and Panasonic have joined to innovate Tru2way technology. Formally known as OCAP this would allow the end user to have all the access to a central unit, including video-on-demand. I am sure this is not available on your tread mill yet, however at the rate of technical progression that application will be available in the near, near future. I am also sure that Panasonic will see a market in scalable exercise equipment. Calling all entrepreneurs.
