Re: ironwood communications

I was managing an office that contracted with them in the Denver area. It lasted all of 3 months and ended up losing us about 30 thousand. I would really not get involved if you can avoid it. All of their processes were inefficient to say the least. We had to make a 45 mile round trip every day to physically pick up the work orders at their office because they would not email them, or let us have Siebel access. The ask for all of their inventory back once a month to count it. Their inventory and order entry ended up costing us a lot of money. They give you inventory, and you need to track the usage. But even if you are running a dead-on operation, they still come up with missing equipment at the month end audit. Why? Order entry. Admin is not entering in a piece of equipment here, a piece of equipment there, and before you know it, you've got $3000-$4000 worth of "missing" equipment that they will take from your comp. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Consider the $1500 on time guarantee charge, $50 past open Work Order charge, $500 Customer callback charge (they call the customer after the job, and the customer says "the sound does not work now", $500 out of your pocket!). It's tough, and there is no room for mistakes with them.
