I recall Rochester NY in 94 1t was 20 below normal with wind chill of 40 below I was running the job and shut it down for the day none of the guys had a problem but one out of 24 splicers. He was complaining that he had to work etc. so I told him I'd give him a run that matched tap for tap so if he got in trouble he could quit. Well we all jumped in our vehicles to go watch him be Mr. Macho man , after the first tap he came over to us and said call it in I'm done needles to say there was a bar right there and that warmed us all up pretty well. That month of Jan 94 we worked 6 days out of the entire month due to snow or cold, we where getting 2 feet at a time and the city wouldn't let us on the roads because of snow removal, Spent a lot of time at the bar that month. Any of you guys remember that year?
