I remember that place well, the rent-a-car was already running for 1/2 hour prior to be getting it as I was like a Platinum Plus (or whatever) Avis customer. Think I had a Grand Am (or similar) automatic with a floor shift. The gear shift actually froze and it was hard to move from Park to Drive. The temp gauge was pegged to the far left and never moved as far as I remember. The vehicle had an extension cord out of the front to plug into the AC outlet at ALL hotels parking lots so the block/oil/radiator would not freeze! I still can not understand how human life could last there...even back in the 1800's and before!
