Sounds like to me you need to get an oscillator and set the levels.8db don't sound like enough pad between amps.When it gets cold at night levels come up and it overdrives.My system has bigger pads between amps,of course its SA .Some of my system has been swept,some has been set with an oscillator.Watch the modem level if some are running real low it is a sign of wrong levels.Good luck.Chuck
