Absolutely.... the key is to not allow yourself to be so desperate and hungry that you have to take whatever they want to hand you without grease... and in some states the addition of a non compete clause is illegal and you have grounds for suite if they force you to sign it in order to get work.. It's called Labor Discrimination.. do your homework..
