RFID chips are already smaller than a grain of sand and as thin as paper. You carry large amounts of certain currency through customs and they know yo have it. They won't nab you right there and then, but you just earmarked yourself for further surveillance.
The cost of producing these chips is getting less and less making their use more and more prevalent.
Think about it, they can be embedded in any weapon so that security of any sort know what your carrying.
As well as placed in any object so that a police officer can know if you have an open container at a random traffic inspection sticker stop, or if the drivers license in your wallet is suspended of expired. Got a new passport ??? it's in there.
Just think of the possibilities, walk into a casino and they can tell who has a credit card with a high limit or how much cash you have on you and it saves them millions from comping losers with under $100 in their pocket.
Ya'll been watched for years....wake up.
