What's in your Wedding Ring ????

Did you know that in 1994 the State Department started a program in which they embedded RFID chips in male wedding bands?

The majority of tagged bands were sold through Service Merchandise and Mayors Jewelers. The project was a phenomenal success. Every person with a tagged band registered their presence every time they came near a door equipped with a reader. At first, most doors were installed at post offices and DMVs. But as the program's efficiency became more and more evident, doors with readers were populated to supermarkets, hospitals, apartment buildings...the list goes on.

Funny thing is that each and every customer essentially registered their own band themselves. When they filled the customer information card at the jeweler, they were providing the necessary information to link the RFID signature to the owner.
