like the other guy said type 192.168.100.1 in your browser
this should pull up the internal site of your modem. look for the upstream and the down stream
reguardless of spliter or not your levels should be sitting between 38 and 50 on the upstream and between -10 and 10 on the downstream you want your SNR to be around 36 if your in that range you shouldnt have any problems. if your out of that range your modem may still lock on but it will most likely be inconsistant. Also make sure you use a 1 gigahertz splitter.
