The problem is coming before the le. Have someone sit at the amp and you go from tap to tap dropping face plates and such till you narrow down the prob. Hopes this helps. Had the same prob happen to me a few times and that is what it was. Its usually a bad connector with water and a green center conductor. It shouldnt be the input of the le considering you already spliced in a new housing. Good Luck
