I am on my third Ford bucket truck. I do a lot of towing. Never had a transmision problem. I've had a couple Chevy's that gave me some problems. Imo, It's the luck of the draw. No matter who makes it, you have good and bad. I will never own a Dodge, It's to much of a workout keeping it going straight down the road. I just bought a used Chevy duelly (spelling?) Silverado 4x4 with the 8.1 liter. Best tow vehicle I've ever driven. It will out run most trucks while towing my fiber trailer. It just has trouble passing gas stations.
