I recently quit a contract company in Scottsdale, AZ. (as an employee installer). They recently started charging back their employees on a weekly basis. My charge backs for a week were usually between $35 - $65 per week. however, when i quit and was picking up my checks every week, the charge backs were between $100 - $400 per week!!! According to my Neanderthal manager (in charge of the charge-backs), all were legit! However, there was no itemization of the charges! Is that legal?? Is it even legal to charge back a piece-work employee in AZ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also we were never paid over-time even though we were not allowed to leave the field until all work was completed/covered. HELP!!!!!!
