You are speaking the absolute truth. I did the same thing. My side work in two days paid more than my weekly check from cable did many times. Florida is a unique situation. Palm Beach, Dade and Broward have different requirement when it comes to life safety such as Intercoms. In other cities further North in Florida there are no low voltage rules. However there is money in Florida.
