I run our 256QAMs at 6dB below video. On an analyzer it may look like 10dB down, but if you measure it with a digital power meter is 6dB down. When we had 64QAM we ran that 10dB down.
Thats with 50-550analog and 550-750/870digital.
Keep in mind as you increase your total power into the laser you have to pad the entire spectrum into the laser to help out with CTB/CSO's.
