i like the blood suckers that i work for. haven't ever worked in this business for someone that i didn't like. maybe some people in the office, but the guys at the top i like. but i understand they aren't going to pay me more than they make on a job. if he's doing dish, his conversation about money has to take place with them. in my shop (in my case at least) my opinion and decisions are taken as those of a professional. so when i there's a job i refuse, or when i force dish's hand it's understood that there's a reason. it's better for everyone if you don't do those calls for nothing. even dish. here's why:

you made YOUR MONEY,
your prime made MORE MONEY,
the customer now has what they spent THEIR MONEY for
the provider keeps a customer which means......MONEY.

oh and did i mention that at least for dish, the customer will have to agree to another 18 month contract in order to get it done for free? it's a beautiful thing all around.
