When a receiver remote fails to respond to inputs, turn the receiver off at the front panel and then press the chanel up button which will bring up the system info screen
Program the remote acess code as you would normally do
you will see the remote address change in the system info screen
If it does not change you either need to repeat the programming process or replace the remote
As for the system rebooting, before you switch places with the 322 try and access the main menue and reset the receiver to factory defaults
If you now do a check switch and back out you should catch a new download or you could have a defective receiver
