Dish DVR 625 Resets Automatically

2 days ago I replaced a 625 because it would not read any remote inputs or allow me to reprogram the remote addresses. I get a call today from the customer that starting that night, the receiver reset and now every it get's to 5 of 5 on the aquiring satellite signal screen, it will shut off and turn back on by itself. I found it odd so I drove out and took a look at it. I did find a cable to be severely crimped in the wall so I removed, rerouted it and replaced the fitting. I then watched the receiver get to 5 of 5 and automatically reset itself 9 times in a row. I'm here now to ask what the heck could be causing this or is it just a bad receiver? I don't want it to be a bad receiver as I do not want a 12-day trouble call, especially for something this stupid.
