I agree with the latter part of your post, but the first half is just wrong! The attack on the freedom of religion ie atheism is our enemy. We should be open to all religions and the only religion that preaches hate against others is Muslim. Allah is the dark "Moon God" and they are to convert all other religions to theirs or kill them with the blade of the sword.
You may have had experiences with Catholics who hate Jews, or what not, but that is isolated incidences and not a policy of the religion.
