It happens with my birdog when I try to hook it up to a DPplus. What is happening is the switch inside of the DPplus is messing with it and sucking the battery to fast. You should never use it with a DPplus only with a dual or a legacy twin. The new dish 500plus lnbf is also doing that and it draws to much power. It doesnt really matter though because it wont pick up 118 anyway.
