Wild blue /AOL

Does any one know how to get the customers Explorer to reconise the new lan connection when the user has only had dial up AOL ? All settings are set correctly but we can only access the web using the Aol account Icon. Every one says to unistall the AOL , will Aol let go of what ever settings to allow internet explorer tgo work correctly.
