I know what you are saying. I coil any scrap only because it keeps the truck neat.
I tag the length of longer pieces and eventually use them for AOs & patch cords (since DTV stopped providing them). I cut some to 1 ft & 4ft lengths. I still end up with a pile of scrap.
The copper clad wire probably doesn't have enough copper to salvage. If you use solid copper I guess you could burn the pile once a year and get a tank of gas or a pack of beer out of the deal.
You could save the pile for the cx who decides not to go through with the installation but wants some free wire to fix his antenna.
