Sounds like hindsight is 20/20, Jerry....we all learn from our mistakes...we've learned in this household that it's not all about $$$$$. Even when you make the big bucks, you have insurance, 30% for SS and taxes, truck maintenance, fuel, hotels, road food, tolls, etc...in addition to being away from your loved ones. Bottom line really isn't that fantastik, when you put it down on paper.
But, again, that's our hindsight from this end. Dan may still get calls from his roadie buddies, asking him to "come on down" and probably will always get them...but after the last several years of nonstop travel for him, too much to deal with here for me alone all the time....we have moved on to the next phase in our lives. Grandparents.
