Not all kids are like that. We only have the basic cable. 30 channels most are shopping or religous channels. I only pay $14 a month. No MTV, Cartoon, Disney channels etc. My daughter watches about an hour -half when she gets home from school (PBS). Then she does her homework, chores and reads. She is 7yrs old and is about to finish her 2nd Harry Potter book.
