Re: Tech Jobs for Fiber Splicers

I guess in a way it's like a catch 22. I was fortunate, you know , right place at the right time, but believe me there are a lot of crooks and scammers in this line as well as every aspect of our industry. It's also feast or famine. The main problem I see with someone trying to break in is the cut in pay you will have to endure. One guy I know kept pestering Time Warner in my area. It took over a year of persistence but he did get in, worked for them for about two and a half years, then broke out on his own. If you're a young man without finantial liability you can probably endure working cheap while you get your training, but like most, with mortgages and families, it's real tough.
