I've done a lot of VOIP installs for business locations that use fax and credit card machines. If they do not work i call the help desk and have them turn off the Echo of the voice line of the modem. This gets it working 9 out of 10 times for me. On a very rare occasion, you may come across a credit card machine that simply will not work on a digital phone line.
