Not all the ones left doing this type of work know the difference! let's see now, 55hrsx4 (no overtime pay)=220hrs/mo.x11mo.=2420hrs. $49,000 divided by 2,240 hrs.= $21/hr straight time minus gas, veh. insurance, tools, etc. no bennies, nothung except a broke down truck and tools that you get to replace, not to mention no life. Wow , i'm impressed! I guess that's better than flingin' big macs. Isn't an industry anymore, for an independant, more like a joke! Maybe that 49,000 includes overtime pay. 160hrs a mo. plus 60hrs o.t. comes out to a whole lot less than 21/hr. plus you still have the broke down truck, gas, tools , ins. etc. to shell out or not work.
