If you ues a RF meter you'll have probelm seeing INGRESS NOISE in the 5 to 10 MHz bandwidth. Because most FSM meter are using a 300 kHz bandwidth. You need to use a spectrum anlayzer to really see garbage in that band. Even with a spectrum, you can see noise but it will be hard to see the real level of that noise which will be depending on the Video filter and the bandwidth of the spectrum. This is why I like to use a spectrum shytisizer that is part of the return system for a US company (I will probably be erase if I mention the name of this company). What you see in this band is
1- Electrical noise not filter by the AC power supply, 2- AM Radio 3- Internationnal radio frequency.
