I hit a main electric cable last week; same situation as you. I measured and drilled a little and pushed.......went outside to locate the drill.....NADA? I guessed thick or remodeled wall and drilled again.......FLASH!......hit the power between the meter and the panel.
It was the only place for the hole!
I repaired the damage and told the cx what had happened.......gave him my insurance information..and told him to call me it he wanted to make a claim.
I noted the same on my WO to the TELCO I was working for as a contractor.
How are our stories different?
