I am running OS X and their startup ads are advertising TV on Macs. Betya they are selling a most recent unit with the capability you are looking for.
I keep a used (pawn shop) ty in the truck to test prewired lines when the customer doesn't have sets for all the receivers they ordered. I write $50.00 on them and sell one or two a year. That is going to be cheaper for you than a new Mac.
