it's true that it doesn't take much training to be a good installer, but it does take experience. the average installer out there has no business being left alone with a flexbit and a hammer drill. a GOOD installer isn't that common. i wouldn't let half the installers i've ever worked with touch my house. i have a standing order when i call the mso because of a problem with service, and that is to go NO FURTHER THAN THE DEMARC if it's on my side i'll fix it, i drop some names and that's the end of it. problem is never on my end as you could train a monkey to cut a fitting and run a cable. but a monkey is too smart to deal with subs, the mso, and two hour time frames.
