If you were making a better living with SBC why did you decide to take the early retirement if the grass was so green in the telco market and the support you received from the CWA?
If you plan on continuing employment as a contractor in the cable space and want to make more then $400 per week concentrate on your skills and not turnover rates.
Your comment linking the Telco and Cable business with the only difference being the wire should give you the advantage over the "new cable wanna be's" given your 15 + years with SBC.
Good luck with your goals you have set for yourself however you have to work a bit harder if you plan on making a living in cable.
