I have to agree and say that was well said. This kind of burns my a$$ as well. even though iI am not in the installation side of the biz I think any one thinking of hiring someone who is counting on a paycheck to support themseves and their families and possibly be quitting another job should at least know the FIRST thing about their business and that would be how much it is worth.
In my years in cable I've seen it too many times. Some rookie gets talked into risking a lot by jumping in head first into the deep end and thinking he's really somebody because he got this great offer then getting screwed along with everyone he drags with him and also driving the prices down for the legitimate contractor.
Like iI said I've seen this over and over again because MSOs want to cut their budget and pretty much the biggest cost is labor. If they can talk someone into doing it for nothing they will.
