Is Century still around? Somehow I doubt it. Probably bought up by either Comcast or TWC. Did you work with Craig Gantner there in Santa Monica? He was my first supervisor in the industry. I was strand mapping for K&B in El Monte, 1982, and Craig was the first to make me realize that the only way to make money was to do it right the first time. I turned my first map in, proud as could be, and he humbled me quick by time his QC was finished, and I got to go back out and spend a half day, for free, correcting it. Wouldn't give me more work till I cleaned up my first one, as it should be, and even back in '82, having to drive from Santa Ana to El Monte was time consuming and it definitely taught me a lesson. It was clear sailing from then on, and believe me, he was on my ass. He probably didn't care too much to have to break in a green bean, wet behind the ear, 18 year old punk, whose daddy happen to be buddies with Tony Bykerk. I know I wouldn't.
