we don't carry 40' ladders and don't even have access to one. i'd be happy to use one (never touched one so i can't say whether or not it's really manageable by one person). but if all you have is a 28' ladder, then yes it can get hairy.........probably 3 or 4 times a week i have to go up the ladder with my knees making a 180 degree angle because the ladder is so steep it's coming off the gutter to try and climb it straight. laughing's good for the soul though so keep it up.
