Are dawgs technicians? Are auditers dawgs?

My point of view on this whole subject is that each and every person in the telecom industry, whether they be a man, woman, lineman, satellite tech., or a cable installer, deserves to be respected, if they have earned that respect.

We have all read in this thread what it "takes" to be considered a dawg. This term is generally reserved for linemen, who built America's CATV infrastructure.

In today's world, that's a dying breed because the infrastructure has already been built.

The new breed are the ones that make use of that infrastructure to get the product to the customer. Granted, there will always be room for men and women that are in the construction side of the business, but no where near what it used to be.

Each of us, who work hard and diligently, has every right to be proud of who we are and what we do in this industry.

Linemen, my hat goes off to you guys because you have one of the most physically demanding jobs in this industry, and you guys made it possible for everyone else to be where they are today.

Everyone else, we are the other part of the greasy wheel that keeps this industry going, regardless of all the bad companies and all the BS, we just keep making it happen.
