lord i have tried to stay out of this one ...but.........heres my dime.........with alldue respect to everyone in this business that works hard has paid there dues.........i think the term cable dawg was derived from the construction side of the business......i believe that the term now means and includes us all .....but........i think the true line dawg is a construction lineman ....again with respect i say my lasher weighs more alone than every tool you use regardless of what you take up the pole with you and as well for the splicers out there .........the reason i believe the construction lineman is the true dawg is simply because we know what lies between the bugnuts because ........i promise you that is where the real work lies .......between the nuts ......working the poles is nothing in comparison to the work in between them ........again with respect .........we are the true dawgs
