sounds fishy to me, if it were me I think I would be finding a place to make a move to. But even with the set up you have, are you still making good money? A definite curve ball, I would say the materials are tax deductible. Maybe create your own business to show the material costs. I might call a reputable accountant with the deduction legalities for this situation also. Just my two cents...
