Man just sittin here thinking about this.
I went back and read Wolf's comments which really made me
think back. At this point in my life it seems like another life time ago. Every once and while something will make me think of a story from those days and after I tell it my wife and (grown) kids just stare at me... "you can't do that"
Wolf's right about what it took and what happend if you didn't keep up. I'd have guys jump of the back of the flatbed at a stop sign and walk away. Every once in a while we'd get a union telco or powerline man. They were good but 30 -40 poles a day they'd never last a week. Get a lazy grunt ... figure 8 the lashing wire through the tension rollers. Those WERE the Dawg Days boys!!
