Re: Trouble call

I had a similar situation....

14 years as an inhouse for the local CATV company. Gets taken over by the "Big C".

I go to the Project Management that helped rebuild our system. A couple of years later, I am unfortunately out of wok. I call the Big C and ask for a little help; after all, ' you'll see that I have been a loyal customer at the same address for the last 20 years', I tell them. "Sorry.....since you dont have any competition in your area, you'll continue to pay the high dollar (150 a month for expanded basic and modem), have a nice day".
The next day I got Dish and DSL and am saving 50 bucks a month.
So...I have more channels, a little slower internet, NO PROBLEMS, and I dont have to talk to the Big C about thier lack of interest in customers 'that dont have competition' in thier backyard.

DO NOT HESITATE to look out for your own wallet. No such thing as loyalty anymore.

However, I must add this. Since I do consider myself a 'dawg'...I did have the dish installed as inconspicuously as possible! And...I do miss the broadband speed!.

But...the 50 bucks is another night out, since I am back to being gainfully employed!

Good Luck......
