Re: Dish Network Point System

oldschool,

We are looking at the same thing. In the past I have seen 4 ft rebar used as a convenient ground point. TV antennae were grounded like that for years. Many jobs were never grounded or bonded any will serve for years without problem. Of the jobs that are grounded, you see a wide range of wire gauges. And the QC standard differs from company to company. It is as if one were on a different planet. I am cereful to point out that none of this has anything to do with lightning protection. The Florida guys have a lot of experience with this. I wonder if they are allowed to ground to lightning protection systems?

Anyhow.........grounding and bonding. I had been using the terms interchangably. Ya learn
every day.

Joe
