It all depends on what you mean by "set up" We talking about installing some worthless third party search bar from the MSO subs PC ? Also it depends what system you are working in and if yo are allowed access to the provisioning server remotely w/o the use of their software.
Some systems let you add, activate, provision, and port online and having a clean laptop can save you alot of time over using the subs malware ridden PC.
