Sure if you want to do more than run drops and install cable tv products your whole life, yes additional education and training is the key and the building block to getting you into the line of work you may want to do.
But my question is (that you still haven't answered is)
What about that guy or gal that's already doing what he or she likes? Like running drops and installing cable tv products.
Will having that degree and or certification in your hand walking through the door equal more pay? Of course not.
Why?
I've seen it when i was doing that line of work running drops and installing cable/sat tv products, right along side that guy and gal who had their degrees and certification making the same amount of money!
And the thing is they truly liked their jobs but grew to hate it because what they were being paid! So do they just deal with it or organize and try to change it, and if they do nothing what about that person just getting started in the field coming in behind them ?
