If i recall "K R ZACK" SBC is now defunct because of bad company investment directions by executives, not because they had a union.
I also would like to say it's my opinion, but whether the industry gets unionized through one of the existing unions or starting one exclusively for cable techs or a co-op or walking out for a day to show that you do have solidarity, At least it's something.
