Precalls are good . but if you get your route on the morning of that route pre calls are a good thing to . as far as a tv curiously Is it the sub or the cx that should have a tv . If your in cable it would be nice to have the tv there If im doing hd should I as a tech bring one of those also . then there satellite guys Same scenario wouldn't you think Oh what if they want phone service oh what if they want Hi speed .
Personally I think the cx is at fault here if they don't have the items needed to do the install but thats just me Ive done many sat syms without tvs but I had a bird dog . If I was working for you you probably call me sarcastic and ask me to move on thats the life of a sub
