the bottom line is, just that. the bottom line. It does'nt matter if a hack does the job or a 20 year vet. The only thing that matters is the head dog at the mso never hearing about it. The customer wouldnt know a quality job from a mess. As long as he gets his D/T or video or HSI he is happy. We need to grow up as an industry and demand the numbers we deserve. Its our fault that it got this way by teacing 17 year old kids how to splice before they earned there wings. We have overnight contractors that under bid the crap out of every job becouse they have no intention of paying us anyway. Not to mention the fact that its an accountant who determines what kind of equipment to use instead of a line tech. I don't know the answer, every time I try to take a stand against the system I get no backup from the guys. They always cave in under the pressure. Oh well I guess Ill just keep climbing.
