Beautifully done. My own divorce from my ex was not as pretty, but we basically decided the same things, the kids were what was important, and he and Dan got along fairly well when we'd see him. Now that the kids are gone from the area, we don't communicate much any more, but I do send my ex pics of the kids and our grandson when they come home here to visit. Divorce doesn't have to be all about money, and it sure doesn't mean that the mother is the better parent, either....many times, and I saw this from Dan's divorce from his first wife, the guy is left very little to live on, and that is not fair either. After all, his lifestyle is affected also, not just the kids and the mother. That isn't taken into consideration to many times, from what I've seen. Anyway, your posting was proof that you can accomplish the termination of relationship peacefully if you work at it. Kudos to you.
