When I said they pull the work in-house when times are slow, it was a general statement. I understand its not like that all the time.
YOu asked would I want someone else running my company? Its not like they dont do it. MSO's can tell you who can't work in their systems. Theres really no negotiating the contract bid ( so IM told). You either take what on the table or leave it.
Im an employee of a contracting company and I have more freedom than most cable guys. Im dispatched from home. I use my laptop to pull tickets and go do them. Every blue moon theres a saftey meeting (which IM paid to attend).
Things need to change. For every problem in this industry theres a form of action that could be taken by installers. We need to start using the tools we have at our disposal to make changes. The first tool we should use the almighty pen.
