As subcontractors or "independant" subcontractors, we should be able to offer our services to any Prime that would see fit to have us work for them, more than one at a time even.
I've seen in one system where a drop bury and bore crew are able to work for several Primes without a problem from the MSO.
Why then should installers be held to one Prime?
Why should an installer suffer when Prime "A" has a poor track record and wants to go to Prime "B" who seems to not have so many issues with the MSO and pays better to boot?
This isn't a shot at CFCC before anyone gets their panties in a wad...
I'm not talking about a newbie trained by said Prime but seasoned techs that know the drill.
I worked as a production carpenter for years and jumped around quite a bit with different contractors under one Developer..
Don't see why there's such a big deal with installers doing the same unless they just suck....but then again, that's an MSO decision, not a Primes'...
