Saw this before!......on the way out.
One afternoon I was called on my PAGER and told to be on time and in "uniform"; read tee shirt with pic of a sat dish and the words 'independent contractor.'
The next morning the manager of North Arundel Cable in MD announced one of "our" number had been arrested for connecting subs without WOs to informi the operator of the fact. He accepted cash for this.
Bad Children! All the innocent were assembled to hear that one of "our" number had sinned.
They arrested his tools.
Move on.
The suits can't understand that folk screw up. You and I are OK now but we both may change. This contractor deal is the way cable & sat providers chose to do business. They save buckets of bucks.
We may not the best but "we" are not "they." In the end someone will state that while the CATV outfit is sorry about the violent deaths, it is not their responsibility. Someone else will state, "is too." CYA complete.
You can just move. That is how the killer got work.
Be nice. Thou shalt not kill! Move on. Try satellite.
