i know nothing of plant as i've stated before, but i do know installs well, and i can say from where i stand that what you just described has to be the most ignorant idea i've ever hear. i work in the deepest corners of the farthest systems in the company and i can say that an install is virtually impossible if the system isn't kept up. yes you can install the cable and eq, but none of that makes any difference if the signal isn't there and at the levels it should be. good luck with this one.
